Kada se govori o poljoprivredi, uobičajeno je upotrijebiti frazu “tvornica na otvorenom”, sugerirajući pri tom na njenu izloženost klimatskim (ne)prilikama, a u cilju dokazivanja kako je poljoprivreda izričito rizična djelatnost.
Nestabilno tržište poljoprivredih proizvoda uzrok je varijabilnosti dohotka od poljoprivrede, a promjenjivost cijena i sezonalnost utječu na odluke o poslovanju, kao i uvjeti otkupa. Dodat ćemo još i probleme, odnosno rizike vezane uz kreditiranje poljoprivrede i općenito pristup kapitalu i financijskim tržištima.
Knjiga upoznaje čitatelje s rizicima koji se pojavljuju u poljoprivredi, daje znanje iz analize rizika, primjene teorije odlučivanja i izgradnje poslovnih modela upravljanja rizikom. Upravljanje rizikom obuhvaća probleme vezane za odlučivanje u uvjetima neizvjesnosti i rizika u poljoprivrednom gospodarstvu. U procesu upravljanja rizikom potrebno je savladati određivanje uzroka rizika, analizu rizika, preko koje se određuje učestalost pojave rizika i utjecaj na poslovanje, i, u konačnici, primjenu strategija za upravljanje rizikom.
Knjiga se bavi najvažnijim i najčešće dostupnim strategijama, od diversifikacije do strategija za transfer rizika poput osiguranja i upravljanja cjenovnim rizikom. Pozornost se posvećuje financiranju poljoprivrednog gospodarstva i rizicima povezanim s njime te globalnim trendovima u agrobiznisu: klimatske promjene, varijabilnost cijena, važnost učinkovitog lanca hrane, ruralni razvoj i slično. Dotiče se i pitanja uloge države te važnosti međunarodnih sporazuma za liberalizaciju trgovine poljoprivredno-prehrambenim proizvodima.
Knjiga je plod rada u nastavi, znanstvenog i stručnog doprinosa istraživanju problema vezanih uz upravljanje rizikom u poljoprivredi, a namijenjena je studentima i poduzetnicima u poljoprivredi.

- But what about your daily bread? Design comps, layouts, wireframes—will your clients accept that you go about things the facile way?
- Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever.
- Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.
- Websites in professional use templating systems.
- Commercial publishing platforms and content management systems ensure that you can show different text, different data using the same template.
- When it's about controlling hundreds of articles, product pages for web shops, or user profiles in social networks, all of them potentially with different sizes, formats, rules for differing elements things can break, designs agreed upon can have unintended consequences and look much different than expected.
This is quite a problem to solve, but just doing without greeking text won't fix it. Using test items of real content and data in designs will help, but there's no guarantee that every oddity will be found and corrected. Do you want to be sure? Then a prototype or beta site with real content published from the real CMS is needed—but you’re not going that far until you go through an initial design cycle.
